- No concession fares for students or seniors. [2]
- Children under 4 ride free, but you must register them at the ticket counter before departure. Children aged 4 and over need a ticket. [2]
- Money tip (from KTMB's fare table): a return booked from Woodlands is charged S$5 + S$5. Booking the JB→Woodlands leg as a separate one-way costs RM5 instead. TheSmartLocal also recommends this. [2][3]
How to book
- Go to https://online.ktmb.com.my and choose Shuttle Tebrau. ETS/Intercity is a separate tab. [2][3]
- Enter each passenger's name, passport number and passport expiry date. All are required. [2]
- You can buy up to 6 tickets per online transaction (up to 4 at the counter). [2]
- Pay. TheSmartLocal lists Visa/Mastercard and Malaysian e-wallets (KTM Wallet, Boost, Touch 'n Go eWallet). This comes from a media guide, not KTMB. [3]
- When tickets go on sale: TheSmartLocal says tickets are released 1 month in advance and weekend/holiday trains sell out. We could not confirm the booking window on a KTMB page this run. [3]
At the counter: counters stop selling 20 minutes before departure. [2] KTMB says Malaysians buying at the Woodlands counter can only pay by KTM Wallet. At JB Sentral, counter payment is cash, KTM Wallet or card. [2]
Boarding rules [2]

Will Shuttle Tebrau stop?
- The RTS Link (Woodlands North ↔ Bukit Chagar) is now targeted for February 2027. That still depends on independent safety certification and final regulatory approvals (joint LTA–MOT Malaysia release, 2 Oct 2026). [4]
- Media reports say Shuttle Tebrau will stop about 6 months after RTS Link opens. We have not found an official end date. [3]
